As the title says, Firefox and Thunderbird both can't get a connection to the internet on my computer. I can't even get to my router's setup screen in Firefox by typing the IP into the adress bar. However, Internet Explorer in both 32 and 64bit flavours can connect and browse the internet fine.
Microsoft's anti-spyware tool can't find anything untoward, NOD32 isn't picking anything up, and nothing has changed on the router. It pretty much has to be a software issue, but reinstalling Firefox hasn't helped. Have I missed anything particularly dumb here?

Never mind. I got angry enough to do a reformat. 35 minutes later and I'm back up and running with everything reinstalled (God bless regular backups!)
