Ok guys, need some opinions....
Newly built Asus P5N-E SLi, E6400, Team Xtreem PC5300 (DDR667) 3-3-3-8, OCZ 700W GameXtreme.
Ok, first issue I had, my X1800XT is dead (wouldn't POST or display anything). Then swapped it for my spare X300SE 128MB. Anyway, it installed windows etc.
Installed .NET 2.0 and 3.0 and 1.1 (and fully updated) before installed CCC.
Now, after a while (or sometimes on login, windows would just freeze and auto restart. So I disabled auto-restart and saw it was the atidvag.dll (or something very similar) which was catching in an infinite loop. I thought it was my RAM so I loosened timings (even though it passed 24hours memtest+ 1.70) to 5-5-5-15 with 2.15V. Still the same problem.
Tried to prime95 - crashed and restarted.
Then to rule out the motherboard, RAM etc, I ran prime95 in safe mode which then worked fine with memory at 667mhz 3-3-3-8 for 21 hours.
So is it possible the X300SE is dead/dying and causing the issues or do you think the computer is really unstable?
Even now with just the graphics driver in (no CCC) I get odd problems sometimes with the graphics driver sometimes killing itself and dropping DirectDraw etc.
Anyone can shed any light on this matter?
