Odd problem.

hi, ive just been upgrading my dads old computer (crappy 600w psu, ASUS EAX1550TD X1550, ASUS M2N-X nForce 520, 2x Kingston 1GB DDR2 533M, AMD Sempron 3800+) and i found a problem, every time i get into xp/vista install, it will freeze and i will be forced to reboot, at first i thought this was the crappy old ide hdd, but after trying three different crappy old hdd's ive started to think otherwise. does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem is?

id try windows xp to see if it isnt vista

Freezing whilst trying to install an OS has happened to me a few times during a build..each time the RAM was the culprit.Try each stick individually.
