I am using Gigabyte 965p-s3 mb, and has two sata controllers, one is from intel and another is from gigabyte, my first question is which one runs faster without raid.
Secondly, I understand new intel chips don't have ide support, so i think the ide drive will connect to the gigabyte controller. so my second question, if I connect my ide cd drive to the gigabyte IDE, and connect sata hd to intel sata will that affect the performance?
