Odd Question - Anyone with knowledge of Luton?

I'm a member of a currently smaller MG-Rover enthusiasts group, and we have decided a good place for our next meet would be luton for accessibility to all. However, we don't really know the area?

We would be looking for maybe a nice pub with a reasonably sized car park, we'd have a chat and a meal and a drink - none of this McDonalds car park malarky.

Any suggestions would be great, and any pubs closer to main road links etc would be great. (And a beer garden would be a bonus!)

try the old moat house as it has a huge car park,
ask them first though, near the a6 as it goes into the north of the town
