I have just been checking my memory using memtest 86, i put one stick of memory in slot 1 of my mobo and ddr-1480 and 9-9-9-24@128
slot2 same
but slot 3+4=ddr-740 and 4-5-5-15@64
Now im using dual channel ram, the mobo book says Place paired ram in sockets of the same colour or sockets 1+2.
SOcket 1 is blue, socket 2 is white, 3 is blue, 4 is white.
Up until now i have used the two blue sockets for the memory. Whats going on? lol Many bsods btw.
Another way of putting it is, in order to have both paired memory sticks running at the same settings i have to put themin odd coloured slots.?
