Odd System lag!

Seems to be fine in Battlefield 2042 and any other game I play, but when playing DayZ SA every so often the system will completely crawl to the point it takes 5mins for a Window to open! This either happens in game, which usually Alt Tab back to game fixes it, or after playing DayZ and I have to restart the computer. There's no error messages in events, no driver crashing nothing, but I can't even check system resources! Would this be a memory leak?

EDIT : May have found the cause, and it was in one of the logs on the system

Seems it's the Alienware Command Center, so I've uninstalled it as I don't use it. Probably installed with the monitor driver lol

Apparently the newest nvidia drivers are causing some people no end of problems as well. Might be worth looking into, rolling back a few updates to a more stable version is advised. The nvidia forums tell you the best version to use atm. Stutters in most games has been a common problem for many.

It has been like that with one game only for me, for a while now. Nothing in the logs etc to give me a clue. Spent a good while limiting things to run etc etc etc.

caught what it is like for me using my phone.

All my other games play perfectly fine it sees. It is a bi hit and miss, plenty of times it is fine and then super laggy like in the video.

I just noticed, after reading your post, that I had a Dell Monitor Manager loaded each time the PC started. Goodness knows where that came from, probably a monitor driver installed it, from Dell. I have removed that now and I'll see how that goes.
I have noted that if this occurs and the monitor is switched off for a few seconds and back on it goes right. Someone else noted as well that in the forum for the game that it affects for me and them, WRSR.

You must have got lucky to have seen that fault in your event viewer, I haven't noted anything there.

Fingers crossed for you.
