Hi folks, just rebuilt my old system, needed a new motherboard, replaced it like for like, DFI infinity socket a. Yep, i said "old system" :D

anyway, it's got an Asus V8420 Geforce 4 ti4200 and an arctic cooling vga silencer. When it's on, the silencer works in reverse.. always done this.. switching the wires over just stops the fan. thought it was a rear exhaust cooler..

anyway when i have the fan connected, the card shows no display. disconnect the fan, hey presto everything works, system booted up like it did the day my old board died.. this is new and has only surfaced since i changed the board, so could be that, all bios settings are the same as they were on the old one, AGP voltage is set to auto.

any ideas? i'm about to google the correct volts to set the card to, see if that helps.. 1.5v for agp 4x?
