Been to a friends house tryig to diagnose an odd crash he's been getting for the last week.
Running Win2k SP4, and he's getting random crashes, but instead of BSOD with an error message it's a black screen with was appears to be corrupted blue text (looks a like it's out of focus and compressed) AND the mouse icon is still present (but frozen) The text isn't readable so i can't be sure what it is.
Nothing is showing up in the event viewer.
It will crash four times on the trot, then be fine for 2 days, then crash another three times. No pattern to it.
Machine is only 2 months old.
Anybody had anything similar to this before?
