Odd Windows Event

Anyone got any ideas on this one; i was flipping through my events to compare something with my new machine, and i have a few events saying
"The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk2\DR8."

which is all well and good, except my hardware manager etc etc has the devices listed as Drive 0 and Drive 1, so what's the above "harddisk2" it's referring to?

Harddisk2 will be drive 1.

how do you figure? and what's the "DR8" bit, as some of the events have different numbers.

also, i scanned both drives and neither had any problems.
