Odd WoW problem.

Basically when ever I go into AV and start fighting (say at Galv) my HD thrashes so much. Even if my FPS are 80+ it still feels stuttery (not major but my HD shouldn't be used so much).

I've just formatted and have the 158.22 drivers on/latest Xfi drivers and all windows updates etc.

System:

2gb 6400
8800GTX
2.8 C2D

It's such an odd problem. As I've said - it isn't awful, but it can be annoying. Defragging hasn't helped and I can't see any other apps running which would cause this. All drivers are up-to-date and have spyware/virus checked.
 
It will just be because you are going into a very highly populated area, the pc needs to load the textures for every character on screen, so it needs to access the hard drive an awful lot,

It will be the same for you if you fly into a city, I would usually blame ram but you should have enough, And if you have slow access times on your hard drive this will cause the problem

Always been fine for me never had stuttering when lots of people were on the screen, even with 40 player raids going on never had any problems.
 
This is more of a stutter. It'll occur throughout the fight. It isn't major but it can be annoying.
 
Do you use many addons? I've had addons in the past when I used to play that made my game stutter sometimes.

Try disabling all addons and giving it a go then slowly turn them back on to establish what's doing it.
