My father in law has XP and when he starts his pc (Base unit) all is fine until it shows the sign in bit where he signs in as the screen then goes black!
The PC is still running as we can hear it and see the lights on the tower.
This happens every time. He cannot get past that point as it always goes black straight away resulting in him having to turn the pc off and try yet again.
I tried another monitor for him but it still does the same.
Any ideas? Graphics is built into mobo.
