So I haved broken and dislocated my wrist. The advice is to play videogames (drs advice im sure I can follow;)) however due to the cast controlling the right analog stick is a tad awkward. Now does anyone know games where that isnt used much? Im thinking lego games, racing games fighting games?

Most racing games will only use it for the camera.

I imagine quite a lot of platformer games wont use it either.

platformers are a good shout hadnt really thought. I do wish I could sort steam by gamepad options. Does big screen mode do this? Ill find out later on when I get someone to shift my pc downstairs.

Mark of the Ninja is a great platform game. There's also Rayman and as mentioned most arcade style racers.

You should be ok with GTA IV, you don't really need to move the camera much and the game has auto aim as well.

How about beat 'em ups? I don't know how restricted you'd be with your right hand and the buttons, but you certainly won't need the right stick.

Speaking of platform games can we list some?

Castlevania LoS
Alice Madness Returns (might need right stick for camera can't remember)
Trine 1 + 2
Shank 1+2
Worms Reloaded
Limbo
Mark of the Ninja
Bastion

Not 100% on all those and I am sure people will correct me and fingers crossed add more as I am right into platform games atm. I know a couple may not class as platform games but yeah :)
