Odds shortening on George Russell WDC 2021

Probably natural that his odds shorten the longer it takes for Hamilton to sign a contract. It's just the bookies getting spooked.

Assuming Bottas's contract is binding, there's no reason to believe that Hamilton won't re-sign. Mercedes hold the cards, so if the terms of the contract are an issue then they can play the long game, but Hamilton needs Mercedes if he wants to continue winning more than Mercedes need Hamilton.

They'll come to an agreement. The start of the season is (at least*) two months away and its still one and half months until testing starts.

Hamilton recently appeared over Zoom on an AMD presentation in full Mercedes kit, despite being out of contract. If there was any realistic expectation that they'd part ways they would have had Bottas do it instead.

* I say at least as UAE has just been added to the UK's "red list". If that extends to other areas of the Middle East then testing (due to take place in Bahrain) and the race itself two weeks later might be in doubt.

He wouldn't be the first F1 driver in history to miss out on a drive because he was overly stubborn over a contract and ended up stuffing himself over. But, yeah, he's gonna sign, this is just the bookies reacting to people reading too much into things.

Dunno, Hamilton is becoming more of an air head with each passing year, wouldn't be surprised if he moved to Formula E having got a massive payment from somewhere and got the go ahead to rebranded it to 'Formula Equality'.

Not enough rolleyes emojis in the world...

This.

Soon as I can get to a bookies I'll be slapping a fiver on Sep winning a race this year. I have an account with Sky Bet but that sort of punt doesn't seem possible through the app.
