I'm tempting myself into getting it, I believe compared to Cineworld the benefits are fairly rubbish (e.g. Cineworld you get discount on food/drinks, if you upgrade to 3D you get a % off the upgrade cost, etc.)

Unfortunately there's no Cineworld near me so I'm stuck with Odeon.

Comes to £35.98 a month so as long as I go to the cinema twice in a month it's worthwhile as it's £11 per ticket otherwise.

I believe they're sketchy with their promos too, as they apparently have a monthly promo for limitless card holders but don't have a page with the information..

Does anyone on here have the limitless card? what are your thoughts on it?

I have limitless but its not £36? Are you doing this of your and the missus?

It's £17.99 for outside London, £1 extra for 3D glasses and £1.50 more for premium seating. I have it and use it all the time because like you I only have Odeon near me but it is VERY close to my house, I literally leave the house when the official time of the movie starts, and go there, park the car and walk in and still playing their trailers.

I went 9 days in a row in February, already made my money back for first 6 months of 2017!

Yeah, £17.99 each, so £35.98 for both.

I've had a look at movies for this year and think I've found about 23 movies I'd like to watch and I'm sure there's other ones I'll go see just cause they're in the cinema if I did have the card.

Just disappointed at lack of discount on food vs the Cineworld card :(

Do you not get points of some sort when you buy food? I'm sure I remember my mate handing hers over last time we went

Yeah that's part of the Premiere club (different scheme).

I currently have Premiere club so get points every time I buy food or tickets, with limitless you can still use it for food but obviously not tickets.

It's on par price wise with Cineworld - although you do get the 10% off food with Cineworld in year one and then 25% from year two onwards, the same 25% discount at Pizza Hut, Chiquito and Frankie & Benny's.
For me I've only got the option of Cineworld, two visits a month and you make your money back.
The great thing about subscription is that you go and see films you maybe wouldn't otherwise as it "doesn't feel" like you're paying for it. Means you can explore more "fringe" movies as opposed to only going to the blockbusters.

I think I would feel a bit awkward sitting in a cinema on my own.

I used to think that, but you get used to it.

No one in the cinema know you. You don't know them

You are not meant to chat during a movie.

It's dark, no one can see anyone.

You can go see any movies you want without having to agree to one you both want to see.

You can go when you want, without having to arrange a convenient time.

Going to the cinema as a social event, the before and after part may be but the actual during part, it's between me and the movie. Anything else is a distraction, and annoyance.

Once you start going alone, you soon see how many others are usually also in the screen alone too. Feels strange the first few times but now it feels strange having to sit next to someone/having to share an armrest. I do miss the social before/after but during the film it's fine. I've been an unlimited member for over 10 years (first card in the UGC days) and it's probably easier alone because I can go and see anything if I have a few hours to kill and it doesn't really matter if the film looks rubbish. Seen a lot more than I would have if I was paying £6 a ticket from our local trust Cinema.

always do premier seating on Limitless Card, for £1.50 is a bargain. I always go on my own seen so many movies and it's funny seeing ppl que up and the last minute and get crap seats.

As the others said, just go to the cinema on your own. You won't regret it.

I never really considered it but when Star Wars:TFA came out two days before I went on holiday, I had the Friday day time to go see it otherwise I'd have to wait 3 weeks until I got back. So I went and it was fine. It was quite refreshing just turning up on your own without people nagging about the time, wittering about you going to the loo "again" just before it starts etc :p I found it very relaxing. Sure, you miss the chit chat afterwards but you get that at work, at other times with friends etc.

I wish there was a Odeon or Cineworld near me, i would love an unlimited membership and would pay £25+ for it.

There is an Odeon in Kingston but chuck in the drive there (20 minutes no traffic), expensive and often hard to find nearby parking and having to deal with the ag of random amounts of traffic in the one way system as you are missing your film, it isn't worth the membership.

There is a vue within 15 minutes drive and an Everyman within 10 minutes. Vue have no such membership and although parking is plentiful and free after 6pm, tickets are obviously pricey without a membership.

Everyman cinemas are small and cosy. A different experience with sofas and tables, as well some proper food and a proper bar. Unfortunately prices are through the roof with food/ticket/membership prices! £600 a year for gold membership which includes 10% off food and drink and unlimited tickets. What a joke! Their standard membership is just £60 but only gives you 4 free tickets, £1 discount on two more tickets and 10% on food and drink and so you save practically nothing.

It is not a normal cinema experience to be fair and is an ideal place if your looking to cosy up to someone on a date with a few drinks but for the average movie buff, its a waste of money.

*Note* Does anyone have a Meerkat code for me, seeing as you guys have memberships :p pm please

Have thought about this a few times, and if it wasn't for meerkat movies then I would, but half price with meerkat (paid £6.38p in central London last night) means that I'd need to go over 3 times a month
