I know most of the people reading this forum build their own pcs

But has anyone thought about the knock on affect of pre built pcs , i cant see how you can get a half decent system now for less than £1200 probably most will likely use AMD cards now

Not necessarily as nVidia hasn’t announced the lower end cards that won’t have any dedicated real-time Ray Tracing cores and will likely be a Pascal refresh, pricing will be competitive as nVidia won’t want to give AMD market share. For me the jury is still out on whether Ray Tracing will be a widely adopted technology in its current form. Who remembers separate PhysX cards.

The real interest for me is whether there will be a renewed push to make SLI more mainstream, since NVLink is a new thing in the consumer space.
