So far there are only retail (boxed) versions of both 2500k and 2600k available... will these be sold in oem packaging at all?
Any date for this?

Thanks!

Wonder why ocuk hasn't stocked these yet, I doubt many early adopters to Sandy Bridge would be using the the oem cooler especially the k range.

LOL...
Wouldn't o/cing the CPU (even by the multi) validate the warranty if it was found to be fried?
And if they say that QC on the new SB is so strict (especially for the K versions) then I guess these should be flawless and any problems are user error which would not get covered by the warranty.

Only found the 2600K in oem so far.

Don't worry with the K retail versions as they are meant to be oc'd and pushed pretty hard. As long as you don't burn it beyond being identified, Ocuk has said they will get them replaced which is excellent service:

These are just guidelines we recommend you follow, if you want to push more voltage through your CPU's then just be aware they could die on you. Your warranty is un-affected and we will honour any CPU's that die, we just won't ask questions as to how you killed them. ;)

Not all CPU's are as fragile as others, we have experimented upto 1.50v Vcore and 1.70v memory and had zero issues with reliability, so it seems some of fine when pushing hard. :)

Im running the stock cooler :D

Its not that bad, im getting load temps in games of about 65.

I am of course not staying with that, just waiting to get paid so i can grab a new cpu block and get it under water.

from what I've read the stock cooler of the k series cpus is ment to be much better than the non-k and previous ranges intel have releaed over the years, ment to be similar performance to the decent cheap 3rd party coolers such as the arctic cooler 7 pro rev 2 etc.

We shall stock them when they are available, but its quite pointless in listing an item at present we can not be given a stocking date on.

Also any further competitor talk and the thread will be closed. Lets make that very clear guys, we've been rather relaxed over past week regarding competitor hinting etc.

Honestly, if you're going to oc then you won't do it on stock cooler unless you really are desperate and don't mind being loud (I guess).

Good to know that these should become available with OcUK.
Gibbo, could you confirm that Retail comes with 3 year warranty and OEM with just one?
