to be honest i'm not that supprised or bothered, i'm sat here on rc2 with my 8800 running as a 16mb vga card (without any widescreen support) so even if my copy had been still on for arriving tomorrow i'd still not be able to use my pc as i wanted to! I'm sure it'll turn up on my door step at some point royal mail not city link)
oh dear i can see a lot of cash flowing the wrong way from Spie's coffers
I would bet that some other etailer complained to MS and OcUk have been told to ship pn the official date , I would hazard a guess that they do have the stock but are unable to dispatch, bit like Nvidai drivers for the 8800 series
Maybe OCUK does not have time to look through all the threads [hell, I don't] but I think that this is one that should be highlighted to them. Whether a lot of things that are being said are true or not, the company DOES need to address this one way or another. It was clear that Vista was going to be the most popular piece of software for years. Anyone could see that.
Also saying 'who cares' when it's pointed out that a lot of people [i.e. customers] will be annoyed is, shall we say, not an ideal retort.
Frankly not very impressed with the news, but oh well nothing one can do but wait.
Would be kinda nice to get an official statement posted on the website news, considering all the hype that was made on there by OCUK about the original commencement of pre-orders of Vista.
Thing is, it is not just a few days. From what i can see OcUK have a lot of loyal customers on here and as they were notified that Vista was coming here first, well before everyone else, only then to be told otherwise, then people are bound to get upset.
