off sick...which xbox?

im off sick and have 2 weeks to recover and whilst im a tv addict, im already bored so id like an xbox...never looked into them, which is the best console for a family.

so im open to suggestions...and any fantasy games like wow...mages, whitchcraft or samurai and id be very very happy.

thanks very much for the replies..yup we have a wii and it never gets used..im much more likely to use an xbox, plus i want my boy to get into gaming a bit.

those games look interesting and some are older now and so can be had for not much.
