'Off the road'

I'd assume they just use common sense when they see a car on a trailer, not 'book' you unless it's there for more than a reasonable amount of time.

Cover the number plates up. A DVLA ANPR van will still scam the plates even though it is on a trailer.

Same goes if you keep a SORN car on you drive way that can be seen from the road.

The trailer will need some power for its lights as it won't be exempt in the way a car is when left in the road and so has to be illuminated at night.

Some councils will also consider them to be a visual nuisance so if people complain you can be served with a notice to move it as well.

Just to be clear, I'm not planning on doing this. I do have a SORN car but its parked off the road. It was just some thoughts that popped into my head when I thought about moving it with a trailer.

Im not planning on building a temporary stand out of plywood and perching my car in it on a main road :p

Something that i'm curious about is how do you get a car onto a trailer legally if you can't get the trailer to the car & therefore have to pull the car out of a driveway to load it up?
