I could do with a PSP for chillin in the shade with. Anyone know how much I can expect to pay for one out there? Or should I just get one in Blighty first?![]()
Technically, if it's >£50 then you have to declare it at customs and pay VAT on it. I doubt you'd make much profit if you actually did this.NokkonWud said:You won't be using one outside in Dubai thats a fact. The screen is awful in the sun.
I'd have thought you could get one there. Try getting it out there because you might see some Nintendo DS Lites and they are awesome. Plus, you could sell it at a profit when you get home.

Actually, it's £18 for posted items. I didn't know the limit had been increased to £145, but remember that's for all the things you buy, not per item.daz said:That figure is for postage. If you're bringing it back on your person, the limit is higher (£145 from outside the EU).
Actually, the onus is on you to PROVE that you bought it in the UK (hope you kept that receipt).NokkonWud said:And only if you declare it, I would purchase it and keep it on my pocket, then claim I took it over there.

I know several people who got caught coming back from Asia with Silk Shirts, etc. The penalty payments were quite eyewatering.
