I love the snow but, instead of all the moaning threads about British weather I thought I’d have a chat to you all about Florida.

I’ve not been that excited tbh about going, been more interested in meets :o (sad I know)

This morning I received Our tickets (Me & Davey) for our reserved Dolphin swim at Discovery Cove http://www.discoverycove.com/default2.aspx it includes 30 minute swim with the dolphins and unrestricted access to the other areas such as the Ray Lagoon or Coral Reef pools, Food, equipment and 7 day access to sea world.

We are staying in Disney World (I’m a big kid at heart), always wanted to go and now I’m getting excited.

It’s going to cost us about £5,000 for two weeks (including about £2,000 spending money) but it’s a once in a life time opportunity before we settle down and buy a house together.

Thought I’d share and make some of you jealous (unless you’re like Gilly and would hate every minute of the holiday) :p

I’m really looking forward to it now. I’m still excited about the OCUK meets as I get to see a lot of people I love and always have a good time with. :D

EDIT: We have our plan of activites pretty much sorted out, but any recommendations of places to go or avoid would be good

I hate you both :(

Seriously, you'll both have a great time. Swimming with the dolphins is something that you will never regret, not even one little bit. If you go to sea world, i'd advise getting there very early as it get's packed stupidly quick. If you fancy a drive and like roller coasters, then go to Busch Gardens, great fun there.

*Wishes he could go again*

Cool :D my first holiday with Davey was to New York it was great :D

Never been to Spain, always looks nice. Lots of others places I want to go first though :)

We're lucky in that I've been before, so I know all the good attractions to see, and the ones we can leave and do if we have time. Universal is an absolute must :D

You will love every mintue of Discovery Cove, its a great day out, you can relax on the sandy beach and watch the dolphins entertain and pratice or swim in the lagoons.

im going to florida in july aswell! :D 15th to the 29th, gonna try and do as many parks as we can.

last time we went for 3 weeks and that was like 10 years ago and we still didnt get around everything! lol

Went to Florida last July. It was very hot, the temp wasn't that high. But, I think the humidity must have been close to maximum, making it feel like a sauna. All good fun though!

Aye, it's the humidity that really gets to you. When I went a few years ago it was about 95f and 95% humidity. You were sweating from literally the minute you walked outside. I loved every minute of it though, extreme weather like that really reminds you you're on holiday (if the huge walking talking mouse doesn't do it for you).

I'd never been abroad before I met Davey. First holiday to America together was New York, in January which was extremely cold. Now we're off to Florida were it's going to extremely warm
