Off to Ireland - Limerick

Hello folks,

I'm off to Ireland in a couple of weeks with my fiancee and her family

eek

. We're going to be staying just outside of Limerick, we will have a hire car so we can go on day trips.

No-one seems to know what we're going to do, so I was hoping a local friendly OcUK tour guide could help with some suggestions for this part of Ireland

if your bringing a motor or renting one go on a trip along the coast, Kerry is beautiful and also do the cliffs of moher in clare. Limerick itself is crap i stay away unlesss i have to go there for business.

It's not all gangs in Limerick. It's a pretty sleepy town generally from what I've seen. In fact Ireland in general seems to be a pretty slow placed backwater in the nicest possible sense!
