Off to Rome in June - any idea which lens will complement my D7000?

As title, I've got a couple of days/nights in Rome soon and really looking forward to it, but my 35mm prime will not do the architecture etc justice. Any suggestions?

Really? I'm trying to picture that if you pardon the pun. I find it rather narrow and can't imagine architectural shots using one, but you live and learn.

Some lovely lenses being mentioned here but I don't have the money

I'd be looking for something around £400 mark really.

It looks like that is the best bet then - what is DR? How come ******* want over £800 for it?

There are two 11-16's. There's a DX2 version as well. Doesn't seem to fair as well in the reviews..
