Nope.
Wouldn't want to go even if someone paid me.

Oh and 6 months to go - and they're started working on the track. GENIUS! Where are they going to hang the Welcome to Donnington Mk2 sign?

Well they could hardly start the work earlier could they? The Donnington(sic) comment is laughable as well, do you really think Silverstone won't be ready for the GP?

Some of the track already exisits in the form of the national cuircut, why all the silverstone hate anyway. At least we have a british gp this year.

Don't understand it either. All politics aside, at least we have one.

Donnington was never going to happen - too big ideas with too shallow pockets.

IIRC Brands never got the planning permission to remodel the track to allow F1 so F1 will only ever be at Silverstone (unless Bernie can persuade Boris into allowing a street circuit :) )

Apart from the GP circuit still exists, the new one is for MotoGP. If it isnt finished the F1 will take place on the existing track. Its the MotoGP that is dependant on the new layout.

And honestly, you wouldnt go if someone paid you?!?!?! Clearly a trolling comment.

If Silverstone is the best we, as the home of F1, can come up with as a Grand Prix circuit, we may as well ship all the teams abroad. It's possibly the only time I agree with Bernie..

I got free tickets and didn't go.
I always took holiday when it was the British GP so I wouldn't have to work it.

As you think it's trolling - feel free to see the link in my sig thanks.

Well then Mr Flibster, why dont you go out there an find us one of the other many places in the UK with a much better track and facilities.....

OH NO WAIT! you cant, cos there are none. The UK Government doesnt give a monkies about Motorsport. Silverstone is all we have.

So what your saying is that you would rather that the 'Home of F1' didnt even have a grand prix.

But, as you have never been, your opinion is worth completely squat in a thread about going to Silverstone...

See previous response.
Send it to France.

Magny Cours?? your joking me?! That track is appalling!

Youll be saying that Herman Tilke should design all the tracks in F1 and ditch all the non Tilke tracks next!

(oh, and working the even doesnt count. You cant be a fan while working)

Was thinking more Paul Ricard - but that would involve Bernie spending some money... Which isn't the way he likes it going.

Plus, sending it to France would put pressure on people here to build a state of the art facility, as being British, we hate the French to get anything... *see 2012 Olympics*

As for Herman - he can shove his head up a goat for all I care. Bring back Zolder, Zandvoort, Estoril, Kyalami, Watkins Glen...

PAul Ricard is great, I agree there, but its been removed from the racing calendar almost completely by Bernies efforts to make it a test track. The FIA GT event there was just strange, no fans....

But do you honestly think anyone here would be able to react to save the British GP? Without government involvement it simply wouldnt happen.
