i have been trying to sort out the cringably poor video quality through my x1950 with no luck, and the ati site is less than helpful.. ati boasted that the x1950 could display "more than 1 billion colours" ...HOW?.. if no other video decoder can, and it seems impossible to get hodl of ati's dvd player then what are we meant to do?

anyway, back to the main point, as i've returned from my madness with ati... does any body have poor video quality with ati cards/ know what i can do?...

to start off.. sorry for the rather umproffessional post, got a bit angry.... i will have a go at screen shotting a frame.. the colours are bold, and textures are without deffinition, contrast is reasonaly poor, the general image is grainy, and not crisp

i've got nearish the newest drivers, and i'm using a vga connector... my screen is samsung syncmaster 193v

ps thanks for all the help, despite me not being that helpful :)

hey.. im using a standard vga connector.. i'm afraid i'm rather ignorant on the codec side of things, i'm just playign it straight off a dvd...

is there much point messing around with the settings?... aka do you know any settigns that will deffinately improve the quality (im using a dvd)?....
