Hey,

Well as some might know, i thought that my PSU had died on me yday, however got it checked today and the thing was all good! (YAY sorta), so thought i would re-build the thing to makeu sure a jumper hadn't come lose, turns out that the back of the mobo where the 24 pin connector is, must have blown as there is a obvs signs to a burn! (DAMM) have RMA the motherbroad and await to see what they say lol!!!:(

so any ideas wat might have caused this or the chances that other componets might have gone?

cheers

Looks much like that originally something simply shorted in motherboard and PSU shutted itself when noticing it.

Some other component connected to motherboard like memory or expansion card could have also done it so remove them and see if there's any signs of burns in their connector surfaces going into slots.

yeah check the other componetns they all look good! (hopefully)

Just checking! are the parts all compatiable i belive they are, but i see no reason apart from a mobo fault that the part blow.

my spec is:

Powercolor ATI Radeon 4870

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600

Asus P5Q-E intel P45

Corsair TX 650W

Blu-Ray Player

Seagate Barracuda 500GB

OCZ 4X1GB

Are these parts compatible and is there enough power for each? any help would be good!!
