The problem is fairly simple. I'll be using word, typing as normal, then I'll notice that the language option in the bottom left is saying English (United States). So I'll open up the language dialogue box and change the default to English UK. All is fine and good. However, if then run a spell check, guess what? Yup, we're back in the US! hmmm...don't think so
Next attempt, I once again set the default language to UK, in my open document. This time I restart word. On opening, the language now displays once again as "English (United States)", but then suddenly changes to UK as if being overidden. So now I'm thinking....OK that's a bit dodgy, so I go for another restart to see if its consistent. Next time I open word, it just stays on English US, and I once again have to switch it back manually.
What's going on here? All my global settings in Vista are set to UK options. Why does it keep reseting to the US dictionary. I don't like being told I'm spelling criticise wrong!
