Got a question on Office 2007 Standard licencing.

For installing/using, the EULA states:
a. Licensed Device. You may install and use one copy of the software on the licensed device.
b. Portable Device. You may install another copy on a portable device for use by the single primary user of the licensed device.

Anyone know what "Portable device" means?

Could I install this on my desktop and my laptop and be ok within the terms of this licence?

Ta.

Ta.

That's the way I've always understood it (and my IT manager agreed)

I've got a copy on my desktop & laptop & both appear to be validated :)

The license allows you as a user to install the same license on both your desktop and your laptop.
However both machines need to be owned by yourself.

So in a company environment it couldn't be on your desktop and your mates laptop - that would require two licenses.
Same if you put it on your desktop and on your wifes laptop - two licenses again required.

coooool, they're both my machines.....so one copy it is then

My employer has just given us access to the MS Employee Purchase thingy.....now this means I can get Office at a reasonable price, and only need to get one copy, saving me bout £320.

Woohoo!
