Office 2007 License to work with Terminal Server 2008

Well hello there,

after a nice setup of ts 2008 the client decides that when he said "i would like SQL" what he meant was I need SQL and access please, and then presented me with office 2007 pro academic version.

Which doesnt work on TS \o/

so I need office 2007 professional plus or enterprise editions.

Do i have to get the volume licenses for these from Microsoft? are there any resellers that offer a better deal than 2 arms and 5 legs per copy? mebbe I can keep 2 legs?

How many users do you have? Did you buy your TS and SQL CALs from a reseller?

there are 5 users at the moment, i got 10 ts licenses from one of my suppliers for cheapy cheap and sql standard came with 5 cals.

ok so I'm now more confused. Has microsoft changed the name of the volume licensing to open license?

That is one of their volume licensing schemes. There is open, open value, select 6, campus etc.

Open is for small companies

ah yea thgouth as much, they dont make it very clear on their website :s

So am i correct in assuming the office im after is the 2007 professional plus one with open license? do i have to get them from microsoft are there any other resellers about?

Professional plus would do. You'll need to find a reseller as MS won't deal with you directly.

its not on microsofts list as a piece of volume license software.

It comes up with a message saying this software is not licensed for use with your setup. only pro plus and enterprise work on ts
