Hello all,

My uncles PC had office 2003 on it, the software became corrupt so I had to remove it completely, I kept the Outlook data file which is roughly 500mb.

Now I'm going back round tonight to install office for him, the only version I can get hold of is 2007.

Now, will I be able to import the office 2003 outlook data file into 2007? I know how to do this, I'm thinking of compaitability issues.

Any ideas people?

Many Thanks,

Phate.

Shouldn't be a problem. Just go to File -Import & Export. (Within Office 2007) and import the 500mb file into Office 2007.

As far as I know, there shouldn't be a problem - I know several people who have upgraded to office 2007 and have managed to retain their e-mails from 2000 and 2003. Best bet is to make a backup of the .pst your are importing and then try it, then at least you have nothing to lose!

Let me know if it works ok, because I might need to be more sure in the future!

Cheers guys, it would be stupid if you couldn't import the data files into 2007, but this is Microsoft afterall ;)

Will try it tonight and let you all know!
