Can I use office 2007 with a 2010 key? I have 2010 H&B but need to run office 2007 small business as 2010 doesnt work with my mail server (long story but I dont want to upgrade the mail server!)
Give MS a ring, if you buy 2010 via open license agreements you get a 2007/2003 keys.
I dont see why they wouldnt offer downgrade rights with home and business.
Interested too.
If it's a Microsoft mail server you shouldn't have any compatibility issues.
If it's a non-Microsoft mail server you'll be connecting either via IMAP or POP - again there will be no incompatibilities there.
Can't think what server must be running where Outlook 2007 does work and 2010 doesn't.
Its kerio, its exchanged based not pop3 but to get the 2010 connector you have to upgrade the server engine which costs a lot especially for 1 pc. The older connector crashes when run, works fine with 2007
You might well be able to get them to downgrade the licence, it's something we do all the time, albeit not with Office. Give their licencing department a ring.
