it isn't a standard feature but if you browse google ( i don't want to get in trouble for posting links) you can find lots of addons that convert it back for you to the old menu style.

dont use 2007 then, the new interface is seemingly the only selling point. It is the same apart from outlook and visio afaik though.

The new interface is fantastic - it's one of the main reasons to get Office 2007. Far, far better than having all those features hidden away in obscure menus and dialogue boxes.

Oh, and this:

Agreed 100%
New interface is so good, really can find the most advance stuff so much quicker, stunning new "templates" for different things | This was only aft 30 mins of use that I was completely sold!

for me it's a pain, because I rarely use word or excel but I used to use them a lot so could do everything I needed to fairly easily on the old versions - Now it's all changed and since I use it rarely, I haven't spent the time to adjust. So I'll stick with the old one (also because I don't use it enough to warrant spending the money on it)

however, if I used it a lot, I'm sure I'd get used to it quickly and find it much better. I like change.

It's all about the learning curve.
I wonder how many people installed Vista and immediately made it look like WinXP or even Win2k.
Sure it takes a while to get used to the Ribbon - when Win95 was first released people looked at that compared to the Win 3.1x interface and worried.
Half an hour later and most wouldn't ever be able to go back to the old interface again.
