Having moved to a smaller place I changed to a laptop & treated myself to Office 2007. I think this is absolute rubbish far too flash for itd own good, I much preferred my 2003 version. Is there anyway of changing layout or can you still get Office 2003?

I'm not a big fan either. Don't think there are any ways of making it more like 2003. You can still get hold of 2003.

Best you can do is get used to the new interface as any new Microsoft software is going to be adopting it. Wouldn't be surprised if the next Windows had it and replaced menus totally.

I wouldn't say it was "too flash", it's just different - and in my opinion, better.

You can still get Office 2003 if you look hard enough but don't forget it's now in the extended support phase and won't last forever.

Thankfully there is no way to change the Office 2007 layout to that of 2003.
I say thankfully because once you sit down with it and give it a little time you find that the new interface is 100x better than the 2003 one.

It's also the interface MS will be using from now on - so might as well get used to it now than later.

Office 2007 interface is way better than 2003. I only had to use it for an hour or so to know it was better. I even gave up my short lived experience with Open Office in favour of it.
