Is there an easy way to go from Outlook 2007 to x64 2010 and keep all my emails/settings?
When I uninstalled Office 2007 and then installed office 2010 x64 it kept all my mail settings

Same here, I backed up the data folder first. But everything was still there after the uninstall and x64 install.
Got it and using Outlook instead of Windows Live Mail desktop now....got to say I like it![]()
Installed last night. Love the look and the new features but runs very slow for me, particularly Outlook![]()
Just a quick question - if I back up all my emails etc, will the pst file restore okay in the new version?
Cheers,
M
Does Outlook handle IMAP nicely in this version? By that I mean does deleting an email send it to the trash/deleted folder rather than applying a strikethrough and waiting for you to manually purge and compact? That really killed Outlook's use-ability for me so far. I'm still using Thunderbird 3 because of this.
Supposed to be on volume licensing site today (Tue)... we already have the 2010 MAK/KMS keys.
Liking it so far, though the conversation view in Outlook 2010 seems to be essentially broken, I'm hoping that the Exchange 2010 server does something to it that puts emails truly in a conversation view like they are in the 2010 OWA app.
Looking forward to the work rollout of SharePoint and Exchange 2010 over the next month or two.
