Will get it downloaded later, but...
Does it still look Horrrrific?
Would have thought that'd still be default behaviour in pre-Windows 7 installs. In Windows 7, the new mail icon is now in the program icon on the taskbar. Evidently the new philosophy is to get all the clutter out of systray. With Outlook 2007, if you got a new e-mail when the application was open, it placed an icon in the system tray so you could see you have unread messages without having the window open. Is there any way to restore that in Outlook 2010?

The option says 'notification in taskbar', not system tray. As above, this no longer shows in the taskbar for windows 7, but in the taskbar icon.I've not been able to get this working in 2010. The option is still in the same place, but ticking it doesn't seem to actually do anything in Windows 7.
Can't wait to get it rolled out to 5000 desktops.

See here for what this looks like. Note you need large icons on.

Or get a higher res screen - I have 1920x1200 on a 15.4" laptop screen. So the large icons aren't exactly that large here! That's annoying. I can't stand the large icons. I have too much stuff going on to use them.
