Office 2010 outlook issue (Japanese characters)

Hi guys,

A colleague of mine is getting the following issue in outlook 2010, it only happens with japanese characters, a lot of the time in emails half the text appears corrupted and red. Anyone know why? example below:

they need to dl the right language pack for the version they are using as it doesn't support it by default, well my version doesn't.

so need office version, as anything other than pro or uni version is a cut down one which won't support the language out of the box, student or home version are basic packages and not the full versions, unlike biz or pro
