Office 2013 upgrade?

MS didn't offer any discounted upgrade to Office 2010 from prior versions. So I bought the full Office 2010 version.

Does anyone know if MS will be doing discounted upgrades for Office 2013?

However MS are offering free upgrades for anyone that purchased the 2010 version between 19 Oct 2012 & 30 Apr 2013 so it may be cheaper to buy another copy of 2010 now and upgrade for free rather than buy 2013 outright if they don't offer a discounted upgrade.

Anyone know the state of play?

If you have Office 2010, then it is a waste of money upgrading to 2013.

Same could be said about Windows 7 upgraded to Windows 8.

I would wait to see what happens. If you're a big Office user and like being on the latest version the Office 365 subscription might be better for you.
