Office 365 - Does it work on iPad?

Hey guys,

Got a friend asking me if it is worth them buying the new version of Word however they are not totally savvy with computers. I am assuming she needs it for work.

She has an iPad and a laptop but would rather use her iPad. After doing a little research it appears that the Office 365 allows you to edit Word documents.

Is this true?

You can using Office web apps.

Or you can use the iPhone office 365 app and obviusly it just scales it up, so it's not particuly pretty.

I'd be massively surprised if they don't extend that to a native iPad version at some point, obviously it's tough to make purchasing decisions based on that.

In terms of all the email, calendaring etc Office 365 works perfectly.

There will be no official iPad Office suite sadly. iPhone only, or, as Glaucus says, scale up
