office doesnt work with vista

when i try 2 run any office app i get the error message below

any1 know why this would happen?

Have you installed the Office service packs/updates

Windows update. Going by your picture you may have some updates waiting to install (Yellow/Gold shield in your clock tray)

Failing that go to Start>All Programs>Windows Update.

Click on check for updates in the top left corner.

Which version of Office is it? I got 2003 running fine on Vista Home Premium.

its 2003. did u reinstall office after u installed vista?

it could be because i had 2 do a clean installation but all the other programmes i had on xp still work when i go in2 the programme files in the windows.old folder

reinstall and run the updates if its an existing install, office needs a rebuilt registry if memory serves
