The MS Office EULA states you can use a single key for a desktop and a 'portable' (i.e. laptop). Does this also apply cross platform?

About to buy a MBP 17. Have a legal copy of the latest Office on my W7 desktop - can I use the same key on the MBP?

Thanks

Unsure but aren't they technically different products? Office for mac 2011 vs office 2011 assuming you don't run a vm on your new mac. One way round it might be to use a vm solution to run your windows copy of office as per the quoted terms.

If you're buying the MBP anyway just test it out with your existing key, it will either accept it or it won't.
