Hi guys,

Need some help as Im pulling my hair out on this one.

I started a thread here, but suspect I might have more luck in here.

The card in question is a an AMD 5450. It worked in my pc under win 7.

It doesn’t seem to work in a Lenovo work pc I've installed it in. The story in short is I get a display in the bios and whilst windows boots. As soon as windows is finished booting, the monitor stays blue indicating a signal is received, but it is totally blank. Nothing on screen.

It can successfully boot in to safe mood and I can navigate around windows no problem.

Initially I thought it was a driver conflict between the on board Intel drivers and the AMD card. I uninstalled the Intel, but it still didn’t work.

I even wiped the os and reinstalled with the card installed, and it still does the same thing.

At present, with the AMD card installed, it has definitely set that as the primary as a) the blue light stays on on the monitor when plugged in and b) the monitor goes dead if I plug it back in to the on board dvi.

So not sure where to go from here.

Have you disabled the intel graphics?

Sounds like its using the AMD card/port as a secondary display.

I take it the drivers are installed for the AMD card?
