Tried looking for the answer to this question for a good hour or so last night and could not find one so here goes. A family member of mine runs a business. There old computers are ancient so they have just bought 2 new machines for business use. Both computers need to have office professional 2010

However I am confused with how many user licenses the above product is licensed for? Some say its 1 user, others 2 and the box on the back states 3 :S.

Very confusing, anyways has anyone had any experience with this new package? Or even better does someone know the answer? Thanks all sorry for the boring post :P

From that id say its a single user. However there are some like the home and student versin for example that allow you to use the software on 3 seperate machines

Home and student includes 3 user licenses, but cannot be used for business.

The business ones look like single user licenses, though if it states otherwise, then thats what it is.

I assume this is the same as 2007; it's for one user, but you can install it on 1 desktop and two mobile devices.

Just checking now though.

My bad, it's a single user but you can install it on one mobile device as well as the 'licensed device'.

2. INSTALLATION AND USE RIGHTS.
a. One Copy per Device. You may install one copy of the software on one
device. That device is the “licensed device.”
b. Licensed Device. You may only use one copy of the software on the
licensed device at a time.
c. Portable Device. You may install another copy of the software on a
portable device for use by the single primary user of the licensed device.
