I have a 1st gen iPhone which I unlocked before I got my iPhone 4. It was on O2, it unlocked successfully, and worked perfectly for ages with a lot of different sim cards.
I wiped the phone the other day as I was going to give it away, but it came up with the connect to iTunes to activate message. I did so, and it will no longer unlock.
It only works with O2 sim cards (And giffgaff), and wont accept any other. I've even wiped it again, and tried activating a vodafone sim in it. It says I should insert a sim from a supported carrier before trying to activate.
I'd ask O2 to unlock it again, but I no longer have an O2 account. Anyone have any ideas? :/
