***Official 2010 F1 thread***

Just noticed Sky Sports News on TV have a little piece on Raikkonen saying that he's interested in joining McLaren again.

Would love to see him back but I'll be sad to see Heikki leave. :( If it does happen though, I've just got one thing to say.

Welcome home, Kimi. ;)

Kimi hasnt actually decided yet (according to itv-f1.com) whether to retire from f1 or continue

Im sure there are plently of teams that may take him - although maybe not a front running one.

Where would Heikki go? Are any teams interested in his services?

I've heard Renault alongside Kubica or Grosjean.
But also heard Kubica and Grosjean at Renault.

The more remote possibility is at Williams alongside Nico Hulkenberg, it does seem that Barrichello has that seat possibility all sewn up.

Sorry to ask this 12 pages in, but is the 2010 season going to be shown in HD? (BBC HD)

"Kimi Raikkonen cut through the McLaren garage on his way through to the pit lane. Maybe he thought it was 2010 already" -- http://twitter.com/noblef1

Love it :D

I lol'd at the tweet. Going to follow this guy. Seems like he gets close to the action. "Have heard a rumour there may be a shock in the #f1 driver market. Will dig some more in the morning."

Shame to lose him. I like him, though am fully prepared to say he didn't do a good enough job this year.

Same feeling here. Think he's a cool guy and I'll be sad to see him go. It's the harsh reality of F1 I guess. If you aren't at your best then you'll lose your seat. :(

I read that Abu Dhabi is in HD this year.

Although on BBC website:

BBC said:
We will not be able to provide F1 coverage in high definition this year. The BBC relies on Formula 1 Management (FOM) for the provision of all of its live pictures and as such the broadcasting of high definition pictures is dependent upon whether FOM uses HD cameras or not.

I'd like to see Raikkonen with Hamilton at McLaren. Both of them are quick, both seem to have thick enough skins to live with the competition, each man knows the team well and have worked well in the past...

I think it would be very different to the Alonso/Hamilton fiasco at McLaren.

When either KR or LH are really on it, they're awesome. Be great to see them head to head in the same car.

I worry about how Massa will cope with Alonso if FA settles in well at Ferrari. Massa doesn’t seem to have the same thick skin as KR or LH.

After this year's accident I still expect Massa to get the love of the Ferrari garage if / when he makes it back

(not that it was in any way Ferrari's fault, just from a normal human reaction - despite the fact they are all Italian and therefore pretty passionate .....just ask the Italian PM :D)

Renault cost me title, says Massa

Felipe baby, you trying to say it was Renaults fault that you drove down the pitlane with the fuel hose still on?

Well that was bound to happen some point - and thats without the "fact" that LH raced given the situation as it occured, not how it maybe / probably should have been

Quite, and I'm stunned that none of the news sites reporting Massa's latest tantrum have mentioned this little fact.

Never liked the guy anyway but this is a new level of petulance tbh. I think he's still bitter about losing the championship and, with having a lacklustre car this year and now seeing Alonso joining next year as the new wonder child, he's no doubt thinking that 2008 was his one and only genuine chance at the title and he's unlikely to get another, thus making him even more bitter.

F1 Racing reported that Bernie was thinking about providing an HD feed of Abu Dhabi as a prelude to full HD coverage next year, should it prove successful.

Maybe Massa will "accidentally" take out Tefalonso from time to time; just to keep him honest :D
