6950 @ 950/1400

My i3 sorely lets me down in comparison to i5 quads and i7s and Phenom II 6 cores* (edit*) but at least my graphic score is semi decent.

I ran this bench on the 17th December 2010 (seems ages ago) and this is what I scored on my normal setup back then.

And, because it's recommended to run ArmA2 with HT disabled when there is a lot of AI on a map, I ran a 2nd test with HT disabled:

3DMark Score P6034
Graphics score 5995
Physics Score 7701
Combined Score 4732

nice beating a I7@4ghz at stock, Sandybridge is looking good.

Yeah, and if he overclocks to about 4.7Ghz he should hit just over 11k on the physics test going from the stock 3.4Ghz score. :D

I should be building a new rig about April so I'm looking forward to trying SandyBridge.

I bet your i3 at 4.2Ghz and 6950 is better for gaming than a i5 2600K and 6870.

Video encoding though a different matter.

Don't want to get picky but the new Sandy Bridge 2600K is a i7, the 2500K is a i5.

Very impressive results with the 2600K - I'm treating myself with one very soon :) Just a shame your only running one 6870 to really see how far it will go before the GPU hits the ceiling. Would be interesting to see how well the 2600K and 580GTX SLi would do. Even that may struggle to break the 10K mark.

both ati 6950 unlocked to 6970. both cores running 900 @ the moment.
both on air. u got to love the scores in crossfire they scale very good.
got both cards for £440.00. with these scores nothing comes close in that price range.

Only jesting the 6950 are the new bang for buck cards.

give it a run without physics. see the score then.

 3dmark uses only the cpu for physics not the physx on the Nvidia cards. Same score with physx switched off. :p

And my cpu was only running at 4.2 Ghz with the gtx470's at 780Mhz in that test I think. Might do a 840 core, 4.5Ghz cpu run tonight with the new drivers which add 600 points apparantly and finally crack the 10k barrier. ;)

Just found my 839 core, 4.2Ghz results ;)

What drivers were you running for that test Greebo, with my cpu at 4ghz and the gu's at 800/1600/1700 im scoring just over 8000.

Just ones from last month but I have done the tweak to get SLI working properly in the combined test. I'll check tonight when home.

EDIT: 3dmark says 8.17.12.6590

Here's my result with SLI broken: 7615 so yours seems about right if you haven't done the SLI tweak.

Im using the 266.35 beta's, ran 3dm just now, 5118, sli definitely not working, as on my logitech g15 lcd display, only one card was showing 90% plus usage. Whats this sli fix Greebo?

Though in the results section it states that sli is on, but then it also states that my ram is only running at 533mhz, actually at 771mhz ddr.
