Really tempted to get a 2500k or 3550k, but want to hold off until the next i5 if it's the sort of improvement sb was over it's replacement.

Anyone think we'll get that with haswell or should I just buy now?

Buy now as there's always something around the next corner. SB was great, but as an early adopter I got stung with the "Satagate" problem and had to swap out the motherboard for a B3 revision. Get a 3570k.
