Massively holding it back. I don't know why you've got a 680 paired with an E8500. Even if it's overclocked the bottleneck is going to gigantic in most games.

My nearly 4 year old 4870 X2 died, and the decision was either a £200 card that would last 1-2 years or a £400 that will last 3-4 years. Seeing how long my previous card lasted even at the end of its life it was still playing nearly every game I threw at it at max settings (skyrim was nearly max settings even with the hd texture pack).

But I guess i need to upgrade the cpu at some point then, maybe Christmas present. Already got kicked in the balls by the partner for blowing £400 on the gpu.

Can you remove 8 pack as he doesn't have a direct link so i can be number 1 for 5 minutes?
regards

Those results are acceptable for HWbot the world overclocking league but not here DEAR ME!! A full information screenshot should be enough.

I set up these benches properly it takes time I am not gonna rerun em for a validation that means nothing.

Can pick up some second hand RAM, a Z68 motherboard and an i5 Sandy Bridge for pretty cheap to be fair.

Fair enough. The E8500 is a decent chip in its day but it just means your 680 won't be anywhere near fully utilised.

Notice the over 9000 graphics score :p

I have a 3740qm on the way to help the CPU bottleneck :D

Then my score may overtake gregster and his 680 desktop :D
