***** Official 3D Mark Vantage Scores thread *****

Either way its win, win for me as I have a Geforce GPU. I can play my old Physx games and any new GPU Physx games. I get my hardware physics if the card dies or not. Hardware physics is all I care about.

***.

Whilst I'd never purchase a ppu with the current games market, for all the flack that pottsey gets, he's got it good with the oncoming nvidia drivers :)

You can see on THG a review of it, the Ultra seems to come out really well for a card based on nearly 2 year old tech.

Beats the X2 card in some tests and near it in others (would guess its the basic 612mhz Core model).

That review paints a picture of a tarted up demo which bears even less resemblance to current games than did 06. It's DX10 only, despite virtually no games requiring DX10 yet. It's still heavily CPU-dependent, despite quad core offering virtually no benefit over dual in most games. It's introduced tests for dead PPU technology because Ageia have thrown some money at them. Finally it's a crashing piece of crap which most people in this thread are having untold trouble with.

Can't remember the last time I saw a piece of software as useless as this tbh.

Heres mine...

M1730 XPS
x7900 @ 3.4Ghz
SLI 8800m 650/1000

3DMark Score
P6308 3DMarks
CPU Score
8012
Graphics Score
5890

Thats with 174.31 Drivers.Should have tryed the new beta drivers =/

Edit

My CPU score seems to high for a dual core @ 3.4Ghz, Could my PhysiX card be adding to my CPU score?

Yes it does I compared Wizardskills to mine and His cpu score was better than mine yet mine was clocked higher which I thought was a bit odd.
Until I noticed he did better in the physics test, I then realised he had a physics card installed.

“It's introduced tests for dead PPU technology because Ageia have thrown some money at them.”
You mean you don’t think they added it due to the big push towards hardware physics this year on the GPU? Turning the GPU into a PPU wasn’t a good enough reason to add the test? I would hardly call it dead when hardware Ageia physics in going increase by millions of owners this year.
It’s not dead its moving over to the GPU and has never been more alive. There should be some GPU drivers soon that run the hardware physics boosting the CPU score. Saying that I was disappointed with the lack of tests and no demo ,no sound either. I wonder if they even have any easter eggs or hidden things this time. 3dmark seems to have got a lot smaller.

3Dmark have used Ageia physics for years now what makes you think they have thrown money at them?
I wonder how much the PPU effects the score. Can eveyone with PPU's post there score with the PPU turned on and off. I will do the same when I get home from work.

EDIT:
Ran the CPU tests over breakfast.
11255 with PPU
8682 without PPU
Looking around it appears most PPU owners are getting the same 2000 to 2500 ish increase. Any guess's on what the GPU will get extra? I guess 1000 ish for 1 GPU and 3000+ for Sli.

That’s normal for 3dmark they always come out with feature long before they become common. Remember back to EMBM, Pixel shaders 2/3, hardware T&L any many more.

Almost 11k...

GX2 is @ 740MHz core 2.2GHz mem.

And my Q6600 is @ 3.5GHz, not 3.9 as it says in the pic.
