Yeah very poor selection of benchmarks, they do an AA/AF test at the end but it should be part of all the benchmarks.

My decision will largely be about the Anand review and how close to the Nvidia RRP of £376 it turns out to be

DM this is the first sniff I've seen that 680 has higher load power consumption than 7970, all the other leaks I have seen say less including Tom's

Didn't the Tom's leaked benchies get dismissed as fakes? I thought the 7XXX Series mysteriously lost loads of points in those benchies?

Looking forward to OC3D and HardOCP reviews.

I don't think they were fake, but yes at least one benchmark had the 7970 mysteriously losing fps compared to it's earlier review

So as we hit 1600p and high AA the 7970 claws back, I suspect this is due to the increased vram bandwidth rather than 2GB vram limit kicking in

I very much suspect when we see the HardOCP review they will show 3 monitor gaming and the 7970 beating the 680

Sadly would have to be another GB SOC and I would lose my audio card into the bargain, not really a fan of multi gpu setups either to be honest.

Why don't you go sli with your 480?

Hi mate, as above I'd lose my audio card due to m/b slots and space and I'm not really a fan of multi gpu setups. Also I'd need a GB SOC and they aren't that common

I think it's mightily strange we've not seen any overclocked benches on the 680

+1, only seen 2 reviews so far but I hope this isn't an Nvidia directive.

Well actually if it is then all the better because it obviously means GK104 is near it's ceiling at 1Ghz and everyone can happily buy 7970s instead

Considering Nvidia RRP+vat is £376, I'm out at that even if it is a good clocker
